About
Lucy-Ann Moore is a freelancer and goes by the name “Walk In The Forest”, which focuses on illustration and graphic design. Lucy-Ann is also a TAFE graduate of “Advance Diploma of Graphic Design” and is currently a second year “Bachelor of Graphic Design/Multimedia” student studying at University of Ballarat. Remember the good old days in the 1950’s and 60’s when space toys were all the rage, soft serve ice creams for 10c and the many household appliances that made the old metre long radio shake in its boots? Lucy-Ann Moore wasn’t there, however she’s bringing the easygoing, nostalgia back and mashing it up into colourful, bright and bubbly illustrations, logos, posters, t-shirts and packaging similar to the time. Lucy-Ann is passionate about helping with the clients needs, in order to deliver exactly what they ask. Plus don’t feel that she can’t help you because she is a student who might be busy with homework at one in the morning, go to the contact page with an inquiry and Lucy-Ann will respond. What’s up, Woodland folk! Sorry for posting Illustration a week 2 days late, the folio and exam due dates are drawing near at uni which I finish on the 8th of June and have a 6 week holiday so praise the lord!
For this post, I’d like to do some sort of public service announcement and encourage all you woodland folk to answer this week’s question on YouTube. No one has answered it yet, and I’d love to hear what you all have to say. And as part of being the woodland folk, the reward for answering is you get to have your answers shown in next week’s episode. Think about it as you being involved in my journey with Walk In The Forest TV, plus with Facebook and Twitter comments, your last name and display picture will be blurred out. So please answer the questions on the Walk In The Forest TV episodes, which you can do on YouTube, Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter. Here’s episode 3 to get this week question and answer here:

ILLUSTRATION 55 | FOLIO IDEAS
Illustration a week

What’s up, Woodland folk! Today is the beginning of AGIdeas design week, for the one’s that are going hope you managed to get up early with your UNIQLO Wake Up alarm app.
As a part of a uni assignment, we have to create a publication filled out like a journal of scribbles and influences. The only problem I have with making a book or folio of your work, is that it can’t be updated if your style changes over time, it just stays the same and ends up as a waste. So one idea I had in mind to eliminate the waste, is to create a book of your work that you can update, like adding or taking pages of work that you don’t want in there anymore. As for the front cover, I’m thinking of wood laser engraving to symbolise “Walk In The Forest”, which I’ve heard is quiet cheap to do in Ballarat, so I’ll look into wood engraving and create some concept ideas for the cover.
So that’s it for this week’s illustration, and hope you enjoy AGIdeas if you’re going :-)
Happy travels in the forest,
Lucy-Ann Moore (Walk In The Forest)

What’s up, Woodland folk! Just want to say a very special “happy mother’s day” to all the mother’s in the world, this week’s illustration is dedicated to you.
On another note, I’m assuming you all saw the first episode of Walk In The Forest TV, I’ll post it here anyway in case you missed it.

What do you think of it? Something you’d enjoy seeing every week? From now on, I’ll post “Illustration a week” every monday and a Walk In The Forest TV episode every friday. I would like to start “vlogging” at some point, which would be an every day thing and I’ll post here instead of writing blog posts so I can give everyone updates of what I’m doing visually, but I’ll wait until I get a few more people subscribing to my YouTube channel.
So that’s it for this week’s illustration, hope all the mother’s are spoilt and I’ll catch up with you next week.
Happy travels in the forest,
Lucy-Ann Moore (Walk In The Forest)

Happy travels in the forest,

P.S. I recorded this on a MacBook Pro, so for some reason, it’s made a pink hue in some of the takes. But that’s okay, because the days of a D-SLR camera will come closer.
Is there an exhibition or something inspiring I should show? Respond to this post!

What’s up, Woodland folk!
I’ve had such a busy week with trying to get work done with uni assignments and Walk In The Forest TV stuff that I haven’t been able to update Facebook or Twitter with what I was up to, I was even a bit late handing in this illustration. But it’s okay now, because here it is posted on the website.
For this week, I’m going to be creating the script for Walk In The Forest TV’s first episode and I’m on the search for some things to talk about. So if you’re an illustrator or designer trying to promote an exhibition you’re in, you know of an exhibition in need of a mention, or you’ve seen something inspiring and you want to share it with everyone, then post it in the comment section below for me to talk about it on Walk In The Forest TV and I’ll include it into the script.
So that’s it for this week’s illustration, you must post your info or link by the 10th of May at 5:00pm. Have a great week, folks.
Happy travels in the forest,
Lucy-Ann Moore (Walk In The Forest)
